Higher Perspectives

I am on a spiritual journey of surrendering to higher consciousness, and I know I’m not alone. For me, this is a way of feeling even better within myself, with my body and in having a wonderful magical life.

During the Corona Virus quarantine, I was inspired to take some drawing classes and learn how to draw birds.  Specifically the four tropical finches I used to own, who were a continual source of joy for me.  I’m delighted to share them with you as messengers of my spiritual insights and soul realizations.

I’m now working on a new book, tentatively called “Joy of Surrender: How to receive your heart’s desires & access divine power within”.  This is the journey I’ve been on for a while, and I believe many others are sharing this calling with me to surrender Egoic control to our Higher Self within.

Much like the coaching process that is at the foundation of Feel Your Personal best for healthy living, I’ve discovered surrendering is the same 3 step (or 3 C) process: Conscious awareness, Clarity of what’s really taking place within, and Choices in the highest good.

If you have a life transforming story of surrender, I may be interested in interviewing you for the book. Contact me directly at agreene@feelyourpersonalbest.com

Enjoy These Messages!
May they support your own realizations and path.

Quarantined Perspective
Surrender thoughts – Allow peaceful presence

You can focus on your worries, or on what’s here right now that’s good and brings you peace.

The past and future, which occupies your mind, doesn’t exist in the present moment unless you bring it into your awareness.  The fear, worry, frustration, uncertainty will dissipate when you focus on your breath, the beauty of nature, the things you are grateful for, or when you smile, connect to your heart or reach out to support others.

You have control of what you focus on, and in the present you will find peace, contentment, gratitude and love.  It may be just what you need right now.

Red Pill Blue Pill
Surrender the facts – Allow inner discernment

The truth is revealed when you are willing to see it. There are no absolute facts; just what is believed. Discern for yourself.

The past and future, which occupies your mind, doesn’t exist in the present moment unless you bring it into What’s the real truth? What is truth? Is it what I’m being told or is it something I know from within? What resonates as true for me? Or do I really want to know?

There isn’t absolute truth. Facts change all the time, as we’ve all experienced. Truth is what you choose to accept and believe, and you and I have free will to make that choice. It isn’t always – and very often isn’t – logical. You can choose to be controlled by what others tell you the facts are, or you can consider other perspectives and look within to find what resonates as true for you. There is no right or wrong answer. It all exists. You get to choose.

Better Possibility
Surrender worst case – Allow better possibility

The mind automatically defaults to the worst-case scenario and believes there can only be one possible outcome. But that isn’t true. The mind has limited perception of possibilities. What would be great?

We are programmed to see the worst and believe there are no other likely possibilities. Our Egoic mind automatically comes to a conclusion, based on what deep down we believe is or isn’t realistic. But our minds only know what it’s been taught and has a narrow idea of reality. Based on that, it puts a worst-case scenario into our imagination that seems inevitable.

So much more is possible, but only if we open to a higher perspective, see ourselves as worthy of more, and envision a much better outcome. Our thoughts and imagination seed our future, and we have the power to create what we focus on.

Delight in Small Things
Surrender mental suffering – Allow delightful moments

Look for the little things that bring comfort and delight. Then actually savor them. It’s hard to be negative when you’re smiling.

We have a choice in every moment to be content, delighted by life and enjoying all the little things that we are blessed to have in our lives. Or we can choose to ruminate and be caught up in the mind’s tendency toward suffering. The mind likes to keep us occupied with stories and grievances that leave us feeling unhappy, dissatisfied and concerned.

You can break free of this mental suffering by finding things to smile about. Smiling stops negative thinking and raises your vibration and immune system. Try it! Try smiling and thinking about bad things. It’s hard to do. Be delighted!

Deep Trust
Surrender anxiety – Allow deep trust

When events impact our lives and wellbeing that aren’t easily resolved, and there is nothing we can do to change that… It takes deep trust to find peace and let go.

There are times when life takes a turn for the worse and there is nothing within your power to change it. This is stressful and creates an internal fight/flight response, which leads to anxiety, worry, fear and anger when you can’t fight it or flee it. Although you are actually doing both mentally and emotionally when you go into those states. You are resisting against it when you worry and are angry and fearful. You are fleeing it subconsciously in your anxiety, and very often by turning to food and alcohol to suppress all those feelings.

It feels better to trust everything is okay, even if you don’t know how that could be. In this very moment, it is the truth, which where the peace is. Breathing deeply with a longer exhale stops the fight/flight sympathetic nervous system response and puts you into the calming parasympathetic state.
Shift into a peace state, and let the worry go. It really helps, and the more often you do it, the better you will feel and the stronger your immune system, which is affected by your emotional state.
